Hardware Overview
At Modern Byte, customer satisfaction, reliability, and performance are our primary concerns. This is why we have made it our policy to host our customer data on nothing but high quality Dell servers that we own and manage.
All Modern Byte customers can expect their data and web applications to be powered by blazing fast Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz or Dual Intel Xeon 2.0Ghz processors and a minimum of 1Gb of memory - specifications powerful enough for the most demanding applications.
Network Overview
In order to ensure the best possible performance and network reliability for our customers, our servers are placed in geographically separate, secure world class data centers. Each data center has multiple connections to different internet backbones, meaning that not only is your data distributed through many high quality links but also that our network is redundant and never dependent on any single internet backbone.
Monitoring
All servers and datacenter infrastructure and connectivity are monitored 24/7. Our monitoring system monitors all aspects of our servers - CPU usage, services, applications - and alerts us immediately if potential problems should arise. What this means is that our customers should expect and receive nothing less than rock solid reliability and server uptime.
Network Connectivity
Depending on the data center, our customers can expect their data to be delivered through several redundant backbone providers including Gigabit, DS3, and OC3 links through Time Warner, Verio, Cogent, and MFN.
